ODWS is on!

sabineszilard1Co-creation is on, every participant can feel the vibe of the OD world pulsing in Budapest!
We moved all the elements of Earth to gain and give energythroughout the spirit of community, moving, dancing common drumsession. We made a Journey through time to summerize our OD history, to get to know what of our profession is getting to the time of letting go, and what are our common directions to move forward to. We learnt from thre roots, from inspirational leaders of approaches all their newest ideas, and shared our theorys, practices, academic discussions, joint cases with clients, and state of social impact project with each other in parallel sessions.
Today we buried everything that we would like to leave behind and now we can face the future with faith in our profession and inspiration, new ideas and the feeling of community.
We were working together on client cases and we all were satisfied of the professional outcome and the fun we experienced during the process -and fortunately our clients also :)

To get an instant view of the Summit, check the online blog of HR Café, and follow us on Twitter, ourIMG_9449 hashtag is: #odws. Photos of the Summit are also very soon to come to our Gallery. And as we were supposing, ODWS will not end on the 28th of August, all the inspiration gathering here, all the connections formed here all the new initiatives are eager to go ont, to be taken home to all five continents and to fulfill our vision to support the emerging change in our world. Hopefully all of you, dear friends interested and connected to ODWS will feel the flow and effect of these joint efforts and energies in the future. Let's cheer to all this on today's Gala Dinner! ODP Call for Articles

Call for Articles - Winter 2011 OD Practitioner - International OD

Guest Editor: Maurice Monette

The purpose of the winter 2011 ODP is to surface from around the world new OD approaches and theories. The ODP will look beyond the mere application of North American practice to other parts of the world, and beyond simply understanding cultural diversity. It will look to emerging practices that tackle issues particular to different political and economic contexts, as well as issues emerging on global and international levels. We also hope to capture the best of what is presented at the August 2010 OD World Summit to be held in Hungary.

We will be looking for articles or ideas for articles related to questions like the following:

  • How is the practice of OD changing to meet global issues?
  • What OD theories and approaches are being developed to meet organizational challenges in societies beyond North America?
  • How is OD different in non-capitalist, less individualistic, and more communitarian societies?
  • What OD practices are being used to support international networks?

For more information contact the ODP editor, jvogelsang@earthlink.net

Submission deadline is October 1, 2010.

Itay Talgam

ItayTalgam200We are very happy to announce, that one of our speaker is Mr. Itay Talgam.

Al Gore said on stage after a session of him:

“I learned more about leadership in that half hour than in my entire career”.

At ODWS Mr. Itay Talgam presents:

"LEAD LIKE THE GREAT CONDUCTORS (AND THEN BETTER)"

A Non-conventional Presentation about Non-conventional or Future Leadership

This interactive lecture/event uses MUSIC as a medium through which LEADERSHIP and COLLABORATION are explored.  We will be watching great CONDUCTORS in action, and learn how CONDUCTOR-LESS orchestras excel without them. We will look at the role of INTERPRETATION in forming ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE, and that of STRUCTURED IMPROVISION as means for CO-CREATION.

There will be music-clips to watch, discussion, singing and improvising - on, and mostly off-stage.

Itay Talgam conducted some of the world's finest ensembles – including the great Symphony orchestras of Paris, New-York, St. Petersburg and Tel-Aviv -  and has shared his understanding of leadership and organization with many of the world's leading brands' senior managers. Be one of those watching and listening to him, live at ODWS!
